Launching......

For the past several months, I have been a silent voyeur of other people's blogs, wishing I had the creativity, imagination, and perseverance to create one myself. So, rather than waiting for amazing inspiration to hit me I just decided it was finally time to simply do it. While shopping at Whole Foods the other day, I was once again reminded of one of my favorite quotes; "Do one thing every day that scares you". Well, OK, here goes....... the official launching of my own blogspot.... Terrifying, I know.

The above image is a result of my recent exploration of mandalas. In her book "Mandala" Judith Cornell, Ph.D, describes these images as "luminous symbols for healing". She goes on to say that mandalas "reflect the soul or luminous consciousness, the essence of who we really are." So, I give you a snapshot of my soul. Enjoy.

Yay!!! Welcome! Hi! I consider Bruce one of my first blog friends, so it's so nice to have you here too! I actually got excited when I saw your post on his blog! Did you make this mandala? If so, how? With what? Very cool!
I just started over with a new blog because I needed to be more anonymous, but I haven't yet really set up my template to reflect a more personalized look yet.
Well, I really hope you will stick around.

Hi Tia. Thanks for your comment on our NZ blog. I came over to post a link you may find useful if you don't use it already... http://www.emigratenz.org/forum
I found a lot of help there even though most members are from the UK.

Now that I see your profile it looks like we have more than an interest in NZ in common - I'm a huge fan of Pema Chodron and Joko Beck. There are lots of meditation groups in NZ!
