Thirteen things I love about traveling abroad.......

1. having my first cup of coffee on foreign soil - and paying for it in Euros
2. drinking real beer
3. turning into newly weds again - without meaning to.....
4. making up stories about strangers at the airports
5. not seeing a Walgreens, Wal-Mart or CVS for as long as I am gone
6. using public transit of any kind
7. hearing world news, and without the typical "spin" on things
8. eating
9. getting lost in exploring and discovering
10. watching him while he is taking pictures - and discovering things second time around through his eyes
11. walking in the woods
12. Sauna
13. drinking real beer in Sauna

mmmmmmmmmmm...... I can't wait.

Aha! I have also referred to my own shoes as that... but forgot about it until you said it.
You should check CBC or BBC online if you want English world news from a different perspective daily. There are probably many more...
I wish I were going!

Although #3 is tempting...with all the new construction going on...from you southerners moving up the coast :)....I would have to say #5 would be my #1....I would love to not see all that every five miles!!! Lucky you...enjoy your flight tomorrow and make sure you and hubby take lots of pictures to share...

Don't know if you're checking comments on such an old post, but wanted to say I enjoyed your list... I totally loved #10 - first time I took my love to Norway was like I redescovered the entire country.
