Horse Power

Those who know me know that the mere sight or smell of a horse can bring me to tears. I love all animals (yes, including insects and, to my sister-in-law's' horror, snakes) but the horse, to me, is the single most powerful, graceful, beautiful, awe-inspiring creature there is. To me, they are therapists and mystics on four legs. I dream of the day we will have one (or two, or eight) of them as a part of our family again.... In the mean time, I wanted to share with you some truly beautiful driftwood art work by a Brittish artist, Heather jansch. To see more of her work, go to www.jansch.freeserve.co.uk/index.htm Thank you, Tamara, for bringing this site and artist to my attention! Maybe I could have one of these in my yard while I wait for the live kind to materialize?....

Those horses are very surreal. I looked up Haera Ra on google and came up with Oceania. Have you heard their music?

No, I hadn't - but I just went to look for some of it in iTunes. I think I'll have to work up to appreciating Maori music....

Haera Ra means Farewell, and I've seen it spelled haere ra and haera ra. Not sure if there is a significance to that (like a male/female saying farewell to a male/female....?)

Gorgeous. She realy gets the energy and motion of horses. I feel pretty oblivious... all that driftwood on the beach, and I've just been burning it! Darryl thinks these are terrific. We went and checked out her site as well so thanks for the link!
